Apply todayLibrarians Wanted's club nights at the Dogstar feature five fab bands, free cake and new friends (and DJs) dancing like lunatics to indiepop, 60s soul, 80s and post-punk. This Friday's line-up sees The Lost Homeboys (members from the legendary Electric Pop Group) flying in from their native Sweden to join jangly favourites The Middle Ones and three more of the UK's finest indiepop bands. A Fine Day For Sailing last weekend played alongside Jens Lekman and Darren Hayman at the Read and Shout festival, and we are excited about this band's bright future. Tiny Birds have just released their wonderful new album, and Tracey's Love are pure charm. Make sure to be there for their 8pm start! And did we mention we'll be baking lots of cakes to hand out for free...? If you bring your library card you'll get a discount too! If you like a mix of music such as The Smiths, Beach Boys, Belle & Sebastian, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Allo Darlin', The Cure, Field Mice and Arcade Fire this is for you! And we'll hope you'll be dancing until 3am... The 1st floor ballroom, The Dogstar, Friday 1 April, DOORS 7.30pm, first band on 8pm. TICKETS £4 adv / £5 on the door (£4 on the door with a valid library card – as we oppose the closing down of local libraries!) / £3 after midnight
