Just had email From Percolate about Back to Basics (25th years) "the longest running clubnight in the world." That's a surprise. Congrats on that. 1991 makes it the world's longest running club night? ---------------- "Tomorrow! We're celebrating 25 Years of the UK clubbing institution and the longest running clubnight in the world. Basics is really where it started for us (and many others) - the seeds of Percolate were almost certainly sown on those Leeds dancefloors! Not to mention their record of kick starting the careers a who's-who of DJing talent, prophetic bookings (a then unknown Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Sasha, Basement Jaxx, Frankie Knuckles) and legendary no-nonsense vibe - clubbing in this country wouldn't look the same without Basics, and we can't wait to bring a slice down to London for the evening."

Don't litter on the beaches or anywhere please. I'm sorry it is not the usual beautiful sea / sky / swim shot this one is more to the people ( not swimmers ) who leave this on the beach. Please don't. With more people on the beach ( 19c sunny today in #Hastings ) I was swimming through rubbish Costa plastic cups, McDonald's bags and milkshake containers floating on the surface - all of this below is from just one little section of the beach. At Bondi beach earlier this year there wasn't a single thing left there so likely it is just down to education and culture.

I was waiting at a bus stop in San Gijan last night ( Ross ) and heard the sound of a tuba. As I walked up the street into a little garage - this scene unfolded in front of Me. These three musicians from Banda Spinola were playing & talking after their Momday night rehearsal. I asked them to play a short March for me and this is what they did. Im writing a piece for marching band now.
