Slack Sabbath 7pm-close Free
disastronaut presents slacksabbath club: a long running left field music club, music publishers, record label and promoter... putting on various acts from aphex twin to z [the singer/songwriter]; no discernable music policy except whats good - grime, industrial, air guitar, electro, bleep, creep, post rock and sleep... have put on over 1000 bands. no names to the ramones, suicide and white stripes.

for the n16 fringe festival we are co-curating the night with local magazine Vomit in the Mainstream [ independenly published by Karina from Fame will come later - who also make clothing and host art events in their stoke / hackney loft.

Beaver County [live]
Peter Hope-Evans from the legendary 1970s psychaedelic rockers Medicine Head plays jew's harp, mouth organ and other bits of metal
in this 2 piece band. Peter is joined by Jeff Disastronaut, local writer and musician, and the result is a journey through a fictional Pennsylvania county that most resembles the real place where Jeffrey spent the summers of his Childhood and later University. Stories of ducks that walk on fishes' backs, horses that sing and the vagaries of public indeceny and the intrusion of the 'interweb' into rural life all against a background of simple orchestral guitars and complex mouth work from Mr. Hope-Evans. Jeffrey contributes to Vomit in the Mainstream and will be reading "What i Did when I was supposed to be in Church," from the Fear issue. over 18s only please.

John E. Cash Money [live]
Although the great man is dead - the music and memory of Johnny Cash lives on. John E. Cash Money, as the name adequately illustrates, make humourously slanted takes on the great man's music and are great live performers.

Damzels in Distrezz [live]
Karina's own band - D in D - is a beautifully shambolic duo that takes inspiration from acts like Patti Smith, Cat Power and Nick Drake, but mixes in equal measures of bohemian Berlin, lipstick and underground angst.

Annie Frank Sinatra [live]
Poetic, acoustic meanderings - recently featured at the Clerkenwell literature festival.
