This week

After a week in the depths of international travel, bank holidays in England and a massive amount of production some of which involved this Circuit Bent Talking Teacher

which has no instructions and has several thousand combination settings is often frustrating but produces some of the strangest sounds, gitches and bleeps.

We've loved playing out the new autoKratz. autoKratz follow the success of dancefloor smash Pardon Garcon (described by The Sunday Times as ‘Dance anthem of the Summer’) with Stay the Same, a driving and uplifting summer electro anthem, with it’s infectious bass hook, addictive vocal and the compulsive beats and beeps that epitomises the full autoKratz sound.

Also making [sonic] waves this week is Flying Lotus. As one of 2008’s most anticipated artists Flying Lotus is a name gracing Dj’s lips from the Hip Hop and Beats scenes to Dubstep, Techno and electronic dance music’s more leftfield genres. Taken from the forthcoming album, Los Angeles, soon to be released on Warp, he is soon to be playing in London on 14th June and Barcelona's Sonar Festival on 20th. I love these picture of his studio - and in the 2nd picture down - right column - one of the best bits of equipment you can have - a Roland Space Echo unit as used by The Clash, Durutti Column and Radiohead.

And for Urban Junkies this week we've picked the lovely Fred Falke Remix of "Im Good Im Gone" for the track of the week - following on from last weeks "One Pure Thought" from Hot Chip.
