Much talk locally of the new #hastings #pier #structure ... the design is utilitarian and austere and has air of prison firing tower or bunker, maybe a telephone switching station; The 12 garden sheds are puzzling in form and siting; The new part juxtaposed against the only remaining original aspect ( the front east wing ) make the rest of it look compromised and not reconciled. With a £14.2m budget it's a miracle it's going to open next month at all.
