#Hastings #Channel #Swimming ---- update Wonderful swim off Hastings today and said hi to the new 8m Buoys --- and on the way out - had a huge posse of seagulls following - maybe 40 or 50 join me.... i love it when that happens As with many of the swims - someone called the Coastguard as i was out 1000m or more - but I was able to swim back fast enough to put them at ease... am going to make a sign to avoid other call-outs Finally on Monday will be on BBC Radio [morning shows] and TV [evening news] talking about my current art show Lucy Bell Fine Art, and a few of the other shows, releases - and the upcoming English Channel Swim for RNLI which may be anytime from the 14th of August ....

Specifically we will -introduce a Citizen’s Income (see EC730), which will allow many more people to participate in cultural creation; - introduce generally shorter copyright terms, with a usual maximum of 14 years; - legalise peer to peer copying where it is not done as a business; -liberalise ‘fair use’ policies to operate outside the academic environment, and -allow greater development from existing copyright material; and make it impossible to patent broad software and cultural ideas. Not to mention the abolition of some other types of Copyrights.

In the UK Greens lack maturity, depth and in Brighton ( from most accounts Micky Oliver usually reports! )'have had a terrible time when actually in local power. As Tris Taylor and many more have pointed out today are idiotic and would force so many unintended results. Luckily, they'll never get into power in this lifetime and Brighton Pavilion actually has a very cool Labour candidate in Purna Sen, so we'll see what happens in a few weeks. Maybe their little party is over?

The avariciousness of property developers and builders in London is out of control - severe curtailments need to be made against acts that are endangering lives, evicting disabled people from their homes simply to sell it on to highest bidder and the violence against community and nation that this unchecked brings. The new very striking video "Look the Other Way" ( http://ift.tt/1cRBvjn) by Bishi Bhattacharya and Matthew Glamorre just arrived on Youtube today featuring ( I kid you not ) the late Tony Benn. Less a music video than a mini-film, this is an epic, multilayered opus that at its heart has ( literally ) Tony Benn speaking from the beyond and offering hope to those who continue to struggle for justice, morality and goodness. Produced by Hardern aka Glammore the film starts in a temple setting and moves into a myriad of kaleidoscopic images framed by fire. The video then, in episodic movements, examines a world that loses it way and it is heart is Tony Benn speaking a monologue that was recorded shortly before his death. Bishi is in fantastic form here with near perfect production including a section by Kinky Roland! Hardern, in his inimitable way wrote and produced the music and directed the video - he's pulling all the strings. I can see this winning short music film awards as nothing really like it has been pulled off in recent memory. Long live Tony Benn's memory and the extraordinary partnership of Bishi and Hardern.
