Record moving day - huge thank you to Stuart and all at @seventiesdistro for the side shed and on to #Miami for this classic collection mostly all in one piece ( aside from the Rats! hurricanes and general decay ) I kinda want to be one of those vinyls on the way to @arthurhbaker and new and future #disco outings ... Their tentacles reach so deep in local education - as they also have Academies here. Yet they strong armed the local council to give them free space, tax free properties and millions [likely] in subsidy. Second, the sad state of being evicted for students who'll never be here - What folly. Both Tiff McGinnis and myself / Shuby are serious international artists and we're being thrown out for students who'll never be here. This is the bit where I might write quotes and theorise like great artists steal and theft as homage is standard in modern art life. In the Brighton Argus the other day there is a telling quote, "The inspiration for the posters comes from Mr Hurley's upbringing in Portsmouth and then Teignmouth in Devon. " I should add Toby Stevens work. I love listening to French / Belgian pop radio and last week was driving near France / Belgium border and heard a song on the radio that was by someone possibly called Reggae Boys and a refrain "Fulfil your Dreams" and cannot find it anywhere ---- any leads appreciated .... it was a 126bpm electro house bass track that had a few breakdowns but essentially had same kind of synth bass as MOUNT & Nicolas Haelg's Something Good which is a distant cousin to Ten Walls [I'm still not allowed to play him right?] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLqBSnSaUkE
