Blablacar Verdict - only in an emergency I'm afraid. It's random who you get as driver - today one of the guys avoided highways & larger roads and decided to speed down country lanes at same speed - 140kph! and on top of it ( the ignominy ! ) they Gave me a 3/5 star rating as a PASSENGER! what did I do to lose 2 stars? Good idea in theory - bad idea in practice and at customs the immigration officer said they're having trouble with blablacar drivers at Newhaven - I suspect there is a larger story to come. So beware. However the good part ( en route to Paris met a great young painter ) who's work reminded me of lousie bourgeois!
