Since Israel began its offensive in Gaza on 8 July, more than 1,420 Palestinians have been killed and 8,265 injured, most of them civilians. How does this self described "exemplary" democracy continue such internal repression? And the US has rushed through a $225m (£133.6m) bill to replenish Israel's missile defence system? What about the poor people in America who could need that money in Detroit, Cincinnati or Newark? Scandalous imbalance.
