Since 2009, Geoffrey Leong has been actively supporting London's

cultural events. Patron of Spirit Of London and cultural ambassador, he engages the

public in many areas including arts, fashion, food, film and music. He has hosted

international press day at Chelsea Flower Show along with Laurent Perrier and Kengo

Kuma. He donates and supports art for various charities including Legacy List at

Sotheby's and the Amy Winehouse Foundation where he arranged for both DJ Rob

Da Bank to play a set at HI SUSHI Camden and for Coldplay to donate one of their

guitars.

Private events that he supported also include Elephant charity, the Japan

Foundation talk with Tate Modern Head of Collection, Christie's Chinese Art Auction,

as well as hosting a banquet at Steve Lazarides "Bedlam" exhibition. He has also

supported number of music and fashion events.

On this occasion he has joined forces with two prolific international artists

Vanya Balogh and Cedric Christie to support an exhibition featuring some 200

selected submissions. This brief satellite expo will take place inside a large multi storey

car park in the heart of West End. Whilst seemingly unusual proposition in terms of

location, this event is expected to equally challenge, entice and entertain all art lovers

and visitors. Open to public for 3 consecutive days, it will feature diverse work in the

medium of sculpture, film, photography, painting and site specific interventions,

including performative and live presentations. With both emerging and established

artists present throughout the event, it will capture a very unique moment in time,

continuing the series of historic annual BIG DEAL exhibitions, initiated in 2008 by

artists duo Croft & Balogh.

The beautiful new world of Contemporary Art is booming. Not merely in

the analyses of commercial undertakings and lifestyle conglomerates, but also

according to the views of cultural theoreticians and art historians.Viewing, shopping,

wandering idly, selecting and consuming are identified both as primary leisure

occupation as well as determining activity at the root of modern urban life in all its

facets.Seeing and absorbing art is much more then mere satisfying of needs:it is the

important ritual of public and communal life, through which identity is created and

changed.

To quote Geoff Leong ;" Supporting Arts is an important part of bringing

incredible works to be evaluated and engaged with by the public, giving them the

opportunity to review art in a different way. Art in this case curated by two prolific

artists with a close contact to artists studios. Expect the unexpected, from organised

chaos to uniform structure and much more.I believe this is both an original and

inspiring exhibition which brings an element of fun and play to those who view it.

There really is nothing like this in the world of art we see today, the engaging of artists

and the public in perfect harmony."

Appointed curators of this exhibition, Vanya Balogh and Cedric Christie

are both renowned artists living and working in London. They have exhibited in UK

and internationally, including Tate Modern, Biennale Venezia, Loop Barcelona,

Victoria & Albert Museum & Documenta Kassel.
